This policy explains what personal data Globalsqft ("we", "us") collects through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and other applicable law.
Who we are
Globalsqft is a land and property advisory based in Bangalore, India. For the purposes of the DPDP Act, we are the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through this website.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you request a consultation we collect:
- your name
- your phone number or email address
- where you are based
- what you are looking for, your investment range and your area of interest
- your preferred session length
- anything you write in the "Your goal" field
Please do not include sensitive details such as bank account numbers, identity document numbers or passwords in the form.
Information collected automatically. When you submit the booking form we record the IP address the request came from and the time of the request, so we can prevent spam and abuse. We use privacy-friendly analytics that count page views and measure page speed without cookies and without building a profile of you.
Information we do not collect. We do not buy personal data, we do not use advertising trackers, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Why we use it
We use your information only to:
- review your profile before a consultation
- contact you to arrange and hold the consultation
- keep a record of our conversations so our advice stays consistent
- protect the website against spam, fraud and misuse
- meet our legal and regulatory obligations
We rely on the consent you give when you submit the form, and on legitimate uses permitted by law such as responding to your request. We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for other companies' marketing.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the website, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Hosting and delivery: Vercel Inc., which hosts the website
- Database: MongoDB Inc. (MongoDB Atlas), which stores consultation requests
- Email: our email provider, which delivers notifications about new requests to us
These providers may store or process data on servers outside India. Where that happens, we transfer it only as permitted under the DPDP Act and any rules or restrictions notified by the Government of India.
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order or a government authority, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
How long we keep it
We keep consultation requests and related notes for as long as we are advising you, and for up to three years after our last contact so we can answer follow-up questions and meet legal obligations. Security logs are kept for a shorter period. When data is no longer needed we delete it or make it anonymous.
Cookies and local storage
The public website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores your light or dark theme choice locally on your device. Staff who sign in to our admin area receive a secure session cookie that is strictly necessary for signing in.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it
- ask us to correct, complete or update your data
- ask us to erase your data, unless we must keep it by law
- withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect processing already carried out
- nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to do so
- raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we aim to respond within 30 days.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, hashed passwords for staff accounts and rate limits on forms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a personal data breach where the law requires it.
